Took our young puppy and were made very welcome in the house where the friendly cafe is. Lovely food at reasonable prices. All the staff we met were very nice

Plenty of parking. Lovely surroundings. Helpful guide especially in the ballroom who are happy to show you a couple of nearby rooms. Interesting ceilings and plaster work - especially the ceiling with supports!!. Ballroom tiled floor amazing construction - made so from above looks to have a dome in the middle .

Recommend taking any of the guided tours. The volunteer guides are a wealth of local knowledge.

We paid for entry to the gardens on a lovely sunny day. Discount available for NT membership and free entry for RHS members. The snowdrops were amazing and it was enjoyable wandering around the 57 acre gardens. The camelia house at the top of the grounds has been renovated and is a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. We'll worth a visit. Would have given 5 stars but the car park was very muddy.

Did the top to bottom tour with my mum, our tour guide was Reg and he was great, very knowledgeable, funny and sweet. Was great seeing parts of the house not normally seen. We went for winter afternoon tea in the long gallery afterwards and this was also fantastic. Thanks very much everyone involved!

We've been visiting at intervals for several years, and at different seasons : today for the snowdrops, which were still in full display. It's been good to see how the restoration has gone - when we first came the house wasn't accessible, and parking was on the grass near the stables: subsequently proper car park have been created. For a time the entire building was clad in scaffolding - I was told that alone cost over a million £. Tours of the house became available, with local volunteer guides. We have brought grandchildren to several excellent events. Now the exterior fabric has been restored and there's lots of fundraising events making use of the interior and the gardens. So I'm disappointed to have to knock off a star today, because of the beautifully restored Camellia House. It's now a restaurant. There's a board outside offering a QR code to learn more : it doesn't work. There's no indication of where the entrance is, and when you find it, it's not labelled. There was no one on reception, just an unattended cake display. Looking for a menu, we went into the eating area, but the tables only had drinks lists. There were several staff bustling about, but we were ignored. Returning to 'reception' we found menus, and were finally addressed by a passing member of staff : "Are you alright there?" To my enquiry about lunch, I was told "You have to book, it's a restaurant"! A classic non sequitur. "We're fully booked." No, we couldn't eat at a table on the terrace, those are just for tea/coffee, and cakes. I've no doubt we'll visit the house and garden again - but the Camellia House? - forget it! PS I forgot to commend the cafe in the house. Really busy, but staff helpful and cheerful, and a good choice of excellent sandwiches etc.

The house looks fantastic even in poor weather, it was very cold and dull on our latest visit. Inside the house it is clear a lot of work is required, the house suffered neglect in the past. Despite this, the rooms are very impressive. Coffee in the lounge was good, very relaxing and water a light lunch inbthe cafe was what we needed. We spotted the long room (?) Set out for afternoon tea, that may well be a treat in the future. Overall well worth another visit, when it's warmer and we can enjoy the gardens and parkland

The top to bottom tour. Our 4th tour now here at Wentworth Woodhouse, and again, excellent. We absolutely love seeing these 'hidden' areas of these huge houses generally unavailable to the visitor. Hearing stories from the past, and experiencing the feel of corridors and rooms used by busy staff - who were often trying to avoid bumping into the house owners ! The entrance into the cellars is via the cafe, well lit and easily accessible. Everywhere is clean and well maintained. We were told that there isn't a great deal of information about the 'bottom' area's until the building was used for the college, when students were housed or used it socially. There's fabulous pillars and brickwork to see, several rooms to wander round, and little hidden doors to make your way upstairs. This was a real bargain tour, having taken the 2-4-1 offer. After the tour we had a quick wander around the house, then a beautiful walk in the grounds where the snowdrops are in abundance - well worth a visit. We shall await another new tour. Plenty of parking (no height barrier). Cafe (a new one in the library and now also the camellia house) a gift shop and toilets all well situated and staffed by helpful, friendly folk. And what a back story this place has ... I'd fully recommend the Black Diamonds book ...

Beautiful building that hosts a variety of events I've attended over the years. They do a christmas tour every year that involves inside the buildings and out in the gardens. There's been food markets with stalls inside and out and there are various tours you can get of the buildings. Recently did the Top to Bottom tour which takes you on a tour of areas you don't normally see like the cellars and the attic rooms, and the secret cafe in the library only available to people who book tickets on the tours. Our tour guide David and his wife Jane were very informative and gave a well paced tour.
